Rally Day!!!

On January 21, 2011, the VCU School of Dentistry, Division of Dental Hygiene had the opportunity to travel to the capital building in Richmond, Va and meet with senators and house representatives to discuss the stand points of different laws that related to and effected the profession of dental hygiene.  In meeting with these members of state legislature we were able to find out what bills  had been passed regarding the profession of dental hygiene and which ones were still in the process of possibly becoming a law.    We were personally able to speak to some of the senators and learned a little about how things operated in the capital building.  Also we had the opportunity to sit in a assembly meeting where laws we actually being voted on. In all it was a great day and I really think everyone truly enjoyed the experience.
